AZURE BACKUP (AGENT) on Amazon Web Services – Virtual Machine

First let’s create an Azure Backup vault.clip_image002[4]

Azure Backup vault has been created

Download the vault credentials of Azure backup vault from Azure portal

Download Azure backup Agent installation files from Azure portal

Now let’s connect to Amazon Web Services – Virtual machine

Copy the Downloaded Azure backup vault credentials to Amazon Web Services -VM

Copy the Downloaded Azure backup agent to Amazon Web Services -VM

Double Click on the Azure backup agent to proceed with Installation of (MARS Agent)

Let’s start Microsoft Azure Recovery Service backup agent setup configuration wizard

Just click –> next

Just click to continue, if you not using any “proxy settings”

Choose the option “Use Microsoft updates” (recommended) options

Microsoft Azure backup Agent – Installation completed

Microsoft Azure backup vault identification – Click Browse & Choose the file which was copied earlier on AWS –VM , click next to continue

Click on “Generate Passphrase” & browser location to store your Passphrase, Click –>finish

Azure backup Server Registration is completed & Choose option to launch (MARS Agent) –>Click Close

Click on “Schedule backup”

Click –> Schedule backup –>Next

Select folder or files which you intend to backup

Click –>next to Continue

Specifying Schedule Daily Backup window for AWS – VM –> Click Next

Selecting Retention policy for “Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Year” –> Click next

Choosing initial backup Automatically over the Network –> Click Next

Saving the Daily backup schedule on Azure Backup –> Click Finish

Backup Schedule –Successfully on Azure backup vault –> Click Close

Lets know try to perform Adhoc Backup à Click on Back up Now à Backup is successfully completed

Azure Backup – Restore or Recovery on Amazon Web Services – Virtual Machine

Let’s display the folder “AWS-POC_BKP” before we proceed to delete it…

Lets know try to Recover Data à Click on Recover Data à choose the server (AWS-VM) as shown below

Select Recovery options à Click Brose for file à next

Select the volume à Click Next

Select items to recover from the Azure backup vault to AWS VM

For Recover of file or folders, you choose either Original location or to Another location

Azure Backup Agent is confirming the objects to be recovered –>Click Recover –> Next
